The miraculous tacit understanding and mutual love between the two cats mommy once again proved the greatness and strength of maternal love. The story began from 6th of April.

On April 6th, the pregnant Sanhua cat in the WuWei Sanctuary Park broke the amniotic fluid. However, it was not until April 10 that she reluctantly ushered in her first production in her life.

At 5 o'clock in the morning on April 10th, the first child of the Cowmooflage color was born. Three hours later, the Sanhuamao gave birth to a yellow-white second child; then to 11 am, 2 pm, 4 pm respectively, she continued to struggle to produce the last 3 cats. She had gone through the process from the breaking the amniotic fluid to production for more than 200 hours. However, it is heartbreaking that the latter three kittens are stillborn. Our volunteers buried them in a flowerbed full of yellow flowers.

Sanhuamao mother knows that her child is not easy to come by. Her fiery temperament now bursts out with motherly love, and her children are very much favored. No matter how tasty the food is, as soon as she hears the child's cry, she turns a blind eye to the food and turns to take care of the child. After getting exposure, the two kittens of Sanhuamao received the dependents(donators) and got their names - Wuyuan (yellow-white cats) and Bikini (Cowmooflage).

Then the story happened to another cat. Just last week, at 7 pm on May 2, Xinxiang volunteers found another female cat next to the dumpster by the roadside. There she was motionless, and with a big eye she watched with horror the traffic flow bustling and rustling.

The volunteer picked her up and found her spine injured, her nerves damaged, her legs slouched, and her hind legs are unable to walk. The cat was brought back to Zhengzhou overnight. After a four-hour long journey, the baton was handed over to Zhengzhou volunteers. However, because the hospital has closed, Zhengzhou volunteers can only rush to the hospital the next morning.

Examination results: hind limbs are soft and the abdomen is large. Visual inspection: 4 DRs were taken and the sacrum was separated and fractured. Abnormal thoracic spine. Fetal bones can be seen in the abdomen;

Simply put, after inspection, we learned that this is a cat is pregnant with a paralyzed hind leg. Her spine was injured, her nerves were damaged, she couldn't voluntarily urinate, and she required artificial urination twice a day. Due to her pregnancy status, we can only adopt conservative treatment and observe her condition at any time. If necessary, caesarean section may also be conducted.

Perhaps she has been treated unfavorably for a long time, coupled with her pregnancy and distrust of humanity, she is terrified of everything. Her eyes are wide and round, and when someone approaches, she comes up with a threatening look.

In this state, on May 5th, the hospital actually called and said she delivered the baby! Our volunteers rushed to the hospital and waited for the brave cat mother.

For days, this very vigilant mother of cats has never eaten or drank water, and she is so weak she needs our full attention of companionship and assistance. Finally, the brave cat and mother produced four kittens. One of the kittens died, leaving 3 lucky ones.

The two cat mothers, who had been very vigilant to humans, became gentle mothers. Since the cat's mother still needs hospital treatment, the volunteers placed three newborn kittens in their homes and put them together with the former sanhuangmao family. (As pregnant cats need more care and attention, they are placed in volunteer’s home). Generally, cat mother is very resistant to other children, but Sanhuamao is very compassionate, she directly opened her arms to the three kittens, and immediately nursed them. The Wuyuan and Bikini also sensibly allowed the younger brothers and sisters to drink milk first and give the teats them who are suffering hunger and thirst for lack of maternal love.

Sanhuamao previously lost three children, and now she has accepted three children. She is now the mother of five children! The life was full of miracles. The mother of the paralyzed cat who had survived the car accident kept her three children. Shanhuangmao found her lost love for the extra three kittens!

How great is maternal love!
